The project name is "4D Emotions," reflecting how emotions unfold linearly in shaping human meanings. Emotions are heavily influenced by surroundings and arise from a series of events that facilitate communication and expression. Unfortunately, many individuals in the city at work tend to prioritise their logical side over emotional self, viewing emotions as irrational. This tendency can lead to a life devoid of meaning.
In responds to this issue, the project aims to provide a transformative experience for the general public, evoking their emotions through various architectural events. Through these experiences, people can create meaningful reflections that resonate throughout their lives in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

The oppressive nature of the city environment was integrated as negative emotion space. ___________________________________________________________________________

The mass of Auckland city, its grid, and city fabric were reconstructed in Revit, serving as a reference for shaping the space. The entire structure was designed to convey the oppressive nature of the city environment.
On the other hand, the positive emotion space is left undefined by the designer, allowing the general public to alter, express, and define it for themselves. This concept inspired the project's name. It emphasizes that the city environment itself does not limit us from expressing our emotions; instead, it is we who choose to deprioritize and suppress our emotions.
By leaving the positive emotion space blank, the oppressive emotion space becomes a canvas for the public to display their art, a medium for housing and expressing emotions. This act of expression symbolizes breaking free from oneself, prioritizing emotions over logic, and embracing the extraordinary over the traditional.
As the public fills the negative space with their alterations and artworks, it metaphorically transforms into a positive, allowing individuals to reflect on and identify their current emotions. Through this process, people evoke their inner selves, gain a deeper appreciation for their lives, and embrace their emotions.
This project encourages us all to embrace our humanity and to be expressive.
